31. Holocaust (S8Ep17)
Kordick, managing an eastern combine, wants to take control of the
Wyoming cattle ranches without regard to the future of the owners.
Clay Grainger is the main obstacle through the Cattlemen's Association.
Cattle prices are declining, but with a contract at $15 a head, the ranches
can make enough to break even. To stop Clay and The Virginian, three men
stampede the cattle and sadly burn the Shiloh house down. The cattle drive
is late, putting Shiloh in financial peril. Clay, unable to pay the ranch's
expenses, is forced to close down Shiloh Ranch, firing all the hands. Clay
walks around the ranch reliving all the fond memories he had with the
bunch. The Virginian and Trampas hit the trail to find Kordick's men;
meanwhile, Jim offers to help rebuild Shiloh with all of the cowhands.

32. The Substitute (S8Ep8)
Trampas, while on vacation, is kidnapped and taken to a town where
he is falsely accused of murdering a doctor. A girl lies that Trampas
was the one who did it. Trampas, very confused, wants the sheriff
to get in contact with Shiloh to clear things up. The real killer,
Josh Gates, had his father frame Trampas for the killing to save his
own son. The town is tricked into this and treats Trampas like a
criminal. The girl, who is Josh's girlfriend, starts to not want them
to hang Trampas. Getting worried that they will find Trampas innocent,
Josh stops the telegram to Shiloh and tries to think of a plan to make
the town hang Trampas before the trial.

33. The Runaway (S8Ep6)
A little boy named Hoot runs away from an orphanage and is
found on Shiloh by Trampas and Jim. The Graingers try to
feed him and get him to speak, but he refuses. Later, he starts
to speak by giving his name and telling who his family was.
While Hoot is sleeping, Holly notices marks on his back where
he has been beaten by the owner of the orphanage. Hoot and his
father bump into each other in town, but don't notice each other.
The owner of the orphanage tracks hoot down and forces the
Graingers to return the boy to him. Meanwhile, The Virginian
searches for Hoot's father before it's too late.

34. The Sins Of The Fathers (S8Ep22)
The Virginian is pursued by three outlaws who catch him and try to
kill him. He is saved by a man named Adam; he then goes to work at
Shiloh. Trampas comes up with a suspect who he thinks informed on
The Virginian and the Shiloh money, but Adam quickly tells him he
is wrong. Adam knows not only the men but who the informer is. The
Virginian tells Sam Burns, the bank messenger and informer to leave
the area. Clay is concerned about Adam, who is an obvious gunman,
and has the other ranch hands scared to work with him. Clay soon
realizes that Adam is the son of a man that he killed in self-defense.
Adam is there to avenge his father's death by having a duel with Clay.

35. The Masquerade (S6Ep6)
George Foster, a bank teller, told his ex-sheriff dad in a
letter that he is a sheriff. Little does he know that his
dad is stopping by for two hours to see him as a sheriff.
Ryker and The Virginian make George into the sheriff for
his dad, and they tell everyone to pretend with them. His
dad arrives and all goes fine, until a three-day delay on
the train keeps him there for a while. Things get harder
when George's dad wants him to handle a gun by shooting
targets. George also heads a posse with his dad, Ryker,
and The Virginian to find outlaws.

36. Jed (S6Ep17)
During a fued between the ranchers and homesteaders, one ranch
hires a gunman named Jed to fight against the homesteaders for
them. In town, he meets Trampas, his old friend. Trampas introduces
him to a homesteader's sister, Abby. The opposing ranch then sends
Jed to go work at Shiloh Ranch to spy on their plans, as both
ranchers have differing views on how to handle the homesteaders.
After falling in love with Abby, Jed starts to side with Shiloh
over the ranch that sent him and decides to stop them.

37. Storm Over Shiloh (S7Ep23)
Clay and Holly are waiting for Elizabeth to return from riding for
dinner, but she is missing. Realizing the Graingers are worried,
The Virginian and Trampas go to the house to wait with them instead
of going to town. When her horse arrives alone with a broken rein
and severe scratches, Clay and The Virginian ride out to search but
are stopped by the arrival of a bad storm. They are soon followed
the next morning by Trampas and Holly with food and water. They
find Elizabeth trapped in an abandoned mine, where she had taken
refuge during the storm. Another cave-in thwarts efforts to dig her
out. Things look bleak until wolves are spotted near the mine,
raising the possibility that the animals may have been using a
forgotten emergency tunnel as a den.

38. The Death Wagon (S6Ep16)
First Trampas and then Holly and Elizabeth encounter a military
prison wagon crossing Shiloh land carrying a prisoner who appears
to have scarlet fever. When he escapes, they are worried who may
be infected with the disease. Trampas is plagued with flashbacks
of his own history with scarlet fever killing his mother and
brother. The soldiers are more concerned with killing the
prisoner to cover up their mistakes while Trampas wants to
safely recapture the prisoner, who will do anything to prove his
meddle.

39. Beyond The Border (S4Ep10)
The Virginian and Trampas travel to Mexico to pickup six palomino
horses for Judge Garth. The Virginian becomes sick as they reach
the Mexican border. He is forced to rest at a Mexican hotel that
is the hangout for an outlaw gang. The gang leader's girlfriend,
Maggie, is becoming tired of the secondary role she plays in the
gang leader's life. Trampas leaves The Virginian in her care while
he goes to retrieve the horses. The Polish bartender, Aaron, arrives.
While Trampas is gone, The Virginian and Maggie fall in love and she
decides she wishes to return to Medicine Bow with The Virginian, but
he must first confront the gang leader.

40. Nightmare At Fort Killman (S5Ep24)
Stacey is shanghaied in Medicine Bow to take the place
of a cavalry recruit. When two sergeants appear, he finds
he was captured by Sgt. Beale in Medicine Bow to take the
place of an AWOL cavalry recruit named Thorn. Sgt. Beale
expected his discharge papers to have arrived allowing him
to leave before anyone learns who Stacey is. When they
don't arrive as expected, the top Sergeant Joe Trapp is
forced to help him. An inept officer allows two sergeants
to keep up the facade that Stacey is a recruit, while
working him into exhaustion to keep him quiet.
